The short version: we don’t receive the photographs or personal details you add to your book. The editor and PDF generator run on your device. No account is needed.

What stays with you

Your text, photographs, crop choices and selected pages are stored on your device using IndexedDB, or a limited browser fallback if IndexedDB is unavailable. This lets you return to your book on the same browser and device. Your browser may store the website files to make the app load.

There is no cloud backup from us. Clearing browser storage, switching devices, private browsing or browser restrictions can remove your saved book. Download a JSON project backup after meaningful changes and whenever your book is important to you.

Your photographs

Photographs are selected locally, resized to at most 1,800 pixels along their longest edge and re-encoded as JPEG. That re-encoding removes ordinary embedded image metadata, including GPS data, before the photograph is used. The resized photograph, not the original, is saved in your local project and included in exported PDFs and project backups.

When information can leave your device

Visiting a static website necessarily asks our hosting provider for its public files. As with most web hosts, Cloudflare may process standard request information such as your IP address, browser headers and requested file to provide, secure and troubleshoot hosting. We do not use those hosting logs to construct a family or advertising profile.
No photographs or book text are sent by the editor to our server. There is no analytics or marketing script in version one.
When payments open, choosing to buy will take you to Lemon Squeezy and its payment providers. They will handle purchase, tax and payment information under their own privacy terms. Licence validation sends the key you enter to Lemon Squeezy; it does not include your book.
A PDF or JSON backup you download is yours. Sending either to your printer, family or a storage provider is your choice and is governed by that recipient’s practices.

Your choices

Use “Clear this book and local photos” in the editor to remove this app’s saved project and remembered licence from your browser. Downloaded PDFs and backups are not affected; delete copies yourself wherever you stored them.

The prompts are designed for memories, not medical records. Do not add health or other especially sensitive details unless you are comfortable storing them in your browser and downloadable backups.
